This set was a joint venture between Dori Hein and myself. Since we were assured of having at least two more boosters following this, we decided to take our time in developing Dungeon Cards and following up Thieves. Of course, TSR was subsequently bought by Wizards of the Coast, and the final fate of Spellfire is unknown. (But, I certainly have my suspicions.)
